The Lottery Department runs all Lotteries

The Kerala State Lotteries is first of its kind in India. The implementation was done after the Kerala State Government banned all private lotteries.

P.K. Kunju Sahib, the then Finance Minister of Kerala, initiated the program. Soon after its launch, the Kerala State Lotteries became a benchmark amongst other Indian states. Many states jumped into the footsteps of Kerala and started their lotteries.

Today, with the widest selection of lotteries, people in Kerala enjoy some big winnings. The Kerala State Lotteries Department offers seven weekly lotteries – Pournami, Win Win, Sthree Sakthi, Akshaya, Nirmal, Karunya Plus and Karunya – one for each day of the week.

Moreover, on the occasions of four of the biggest festivals celebrated in Kerala – Vishu, Onam, Dussehra, and Christmas, also gets their lotteries. On the other hand, there are two special seasonal lotteries as well – the Summer and Monsoon bumper lotteries.

List of Kerala State Weekly Lotteries

  1. The Pournami lottery ticket costs Rs.30, whereas the whole ticket book cost around Rs.750. The maximum jackpot one can win playing this lottery is Rs.70,00,000. The draws are held every Sunday. 
  2. The Win Win lottery ticket costs Rs.30, whereas the whole ticket book cost around Rs.750. The maximum jackpot one can win playing this lottery is Rs.65,00,000. The draws are held every Monday. 
  3. The Sthree Sakthi lottery ticket costs Rs.30, whereas the whole ticket book cost around Rs.750. The maximum jackpot one can win playing this lottery is Rs.60,00,000/-. The draws are held every Tuesday. 
  4. The Akshaya lottery ticket costs Rs.30, whereas the whole ticket book cost around Rs.750. The maximum jackpot one can win playing this lottery is Rs.60,00,000. The draws are held every Wednesday. 
  5. The Karunya Plus lottery ticket costs Rs.40, whereas the whole ticket book cost around Rs.1000. The maximum jackpot one can win playing this lottery is Rs.80,00,000. The draws are held every Thursday. 
  6. The Nirmal lottery ticket costs Rs.30, whereas the whole ticket book cost around Rs.750. The maximum jackpot one can win playing this lottery is Rs.60,00,000. The draws are held every Friday. 
  7. The Karunya lottery ticket costs Rs.40, whereas the whole ticket book cost around Rs.1000. The maximum jackpot one can win playing this lottery is Rs.80,00,000. The draws are held every Saturday.
